Note from Our Chair
Welcome to Women in Philanthropy (WIP)! You are here at a good time – our network is in its infancy, and we’re excited to come together and work toward our mission of inspiring women PAs, our friends, and PA advocates to become volunteers and philanthropists. We’re also working to educate people about the PA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the PA profession.
Did you realize women now make up almost 70% of the PA profession? Our goal is to establish a giving circle of women dedicated to philanthropy and united by an interest in mentoring others. By joining WIP, we hope you will find a warm and inviting environment with like-minded women who share a similar interest in philanthropic giving and the impact we can have on healthcare in the communities PAs work, live, and serve within.
We provide our network with quarterly learning programming and a newsletter. As we move out of the pandemic, we’re eager to begin social and networking opportunities. Please take a look at our meeting schedule below. We’re meeting virtually for now, but look forward to coordinating activities at upcoming state and national conferences in the future.
Let us know how we can assist you in your philanthropic endeavors in the PA world. We hope you’ll become a part of our network and help us in our efforts to harness the power we have to do good works while leading by example and serving as mentors to future leaders.
